Meet Your Principal
While my focus will be on getting to know our students, staff and families, here is a quick look at who I am:
Background: I have been an educator for 25+ years, previously serving as Principal at Hollifield Station ES and Centennial Lane ES.
Favorite Children's Book: Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak. You can imagine how thrilled I was to see the mural of this wonderful book in our hallways.
Outside of School: You can usually find me walking, crocheting, working on DIY and spending time with family and friends.
Fun Fact: My son is about to head off to his first year at Penn State University, which was my alma mater. He is in the same dorm I started as a freshman!
Partnering Together: A strong school community relies on open communication and genuine partnership between home and school. My door is always open, and I look forward to working alongside you to ensure your child has an incredible school year.

Environmental Reports
Suspected mold growth found in one room at Pointers Run on August 19 was found to result from an unlocked window, which resulted in elevated humidity in that room.
Additional localized instances of mold reported at the school on September 8 were found to result from elevated humidity levels caused by two fans that continued to run overnight after all fans should have been off. This situation was corrected in September.
Building Dynamics LLC reported that all surfaces where mold had been found have been sanitized, and the building is safe to occupy.
