Families should review the HCPSS Student Mobile Technology Duties and Obligations to learn more about the school system’s policies and guidelines that govern the devices. Should an HCPSS Chromebook become broken over the summer, students/parents should bring the broken device to an HCPSS Technology Support Center. A current list of sites and hours of operation can be found online.
Only students leaving the school system at the end of the 2020-2021 school year, including those unenrolling and graduating, must return their HCPSS assigned device(s), which may include laptops, Chromebooks, hotspots, and others. These devices must be returned to the Logistics Center so that they can be redistributed based on enrollment needs in the fall.
All students who will remain enrolled for the 2021-2022 school year may continue to borrow the device(s) assigned to them over the summer. Please review the Chromebook Care guidelines with your students to ensure that the devices are kept safe over the summer.
Families who do not wish to keep possession of HCPSS technology device(s) may return them to their school or Technology Support Center. The devices need to be unassigned. The appropriate technology will be reassigned to the student in the fall.
Students will need their Chromebooks for school through June 15th. Families wishing to return their devices to PRES may do so from June 16th - June 18th. Please bring a piece of paper with your child's full first and last name when you come to drop it off at the school.
Chromebooks can be returned to the Technology Support Center on any business day after school ends. Please be sure to visit the link for detailed information.
