Be a Watch Dog!

PRES PTA is excited to announce the return of the WATCH D.O.G.S. program. 

 

WHO:  Dads and father-figures (grandfathers, uncles, etc.)

 

WHAT:  WATCH D.O.G.S. (Dads Of Great Students) is an innovative father involvement, educational initiative of the National Center for Fathering.

 

WHERE: Volunteers spend an entire school day at PRES with a structured agenda providing hands on assistance with instructional activities, related arts, recess and lunch.  You will spend part of the day with your child(ren) and part of the day in other areas of the school.

 

WHEN:  December 2016 through May 2017 on most Wednesdays and Fridays, starting December 2nd

 

WHY:  PRES is a stronger school with parental involvement.  This program presents a great opportunity to:

  • Interact directly with students
  • Provide additional positive male role models in the school
  • Send a message that education is important
  • Bring smiles to the faces of your child(ren) and their friends!
